Deals with age-related diseases

Brain, the guiding unit of our body, is the most complex and sophisticated system of all.

Mental health, unfortunately is the most ignored concept in our society, especially among the senior citizens who suffer from the progressive neurodegenerative condition, such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, etc., in which ageing, remains the biggest risk factor. Also, the symptoms of these diseases visibly appear when maximum damage has already taken place (late-onset).

Although research into the mechanisms leading to cell death in Parkinson's disease has shed light on many aspects of the pathogenesis of this disorder. No specific etiology, diagnosis, inaccessibility, and slow progression of such mental as well as age-related, diseases makes it one of the most challenging ailments of all other conditions.

Understanding ageing and the processes that obstructs lifespan had been a challenge for biologists for several years. However, it gained a groundbreaking credibility with the identification of gene variants that extend the lifespan. Ageing research therefore, is the focus of thousands of researchers and laboratories these days.

Currently, we are trying to develop an innovative approach to cross the blood-brain barrier and deliver our drug with utmost efficacy in upregulation of nerve growth factor (decreased expression in neurodegenerative condition) and downregulation of the inflammatory cytokines like IL-1, IL-6, IL-17, IFN-ϒ, Apo-E, and TNF-α associated most commonly in neuroinflammatory condition. We are also trying to harness the gut-brain connection for the maximal efficacy of our drug targets. Our vision is to overcome these challenges and deliver the best to our society.
